On a personal level, I’ve been a huge fan of Michael Emerson’s since he first appeared on LOST – so sitting down to interview him for his new show, Person of Interest, was quite a treat. Emerson was as kind and cordial as ever, thoughtfully answering each question in detail and making sure that he gave everyone the attention they deserved during the round table session.
“What makes the show as intense is that there’s danger on every front,” Emerson said. When asked about what type of person his character is, his character, Finch, he responded “because I’ve played so much duplicity over the years, I wanted to leave that behind, if possible, and play a straightforward good guy. But you also need your character to have some complications…but I think the stakes of the show are such and the world of the show is such that he has plenty of decisions and questions.”
