ONCE UPON A TIME: 5 Things To Know About “The Miller’s Daughter”

Last week’s Once Upon A Time took us through Snow’s childhood by introducing us to her mother, and this week’s takes a look at the other end of the spectrum by exploring the backstory of Regina’s mother, Cora. The episode is one of the most anticipated of the season, and coming on the heels of two action-packed mythology based hours, I can definitely say it doesn’t disappoint. If you thought “The Queen Is Dead” was intense, just wait until you see what “The Miller’s Daughter” has to offer.

To get you excited, here are five (non-spoilery) hints about what you can expect to see on Sunday. What do you think will happen?

1. Death is coming.

It’s not a fake-out – a major character does indeed meet their demise by the end of the hour. However, the death may not be the person you expect, and it may or may not happen at the hands of the person you expect. And if those two sentences leave you confused, just wait until you see the reactions of the person who did the deed and the person affected by said character’s demise.

2. A character’s turning point may be a game changer.

Everyone in Storybrooke has made mistakes or done something that they’re regretful of, and some mistakes have even been the cause of a larger problem. But in this episode, one character will make a decision that there may not be any turning back from – and it could definitely impact their actions for the rest of the season (and possibly, series.)

3. Even I didn’t predict that.

Don’t expect Once to show you what you think you already know. While flashbacks to fairytale land will give us story of how young Cora (portrayed by an incredibly well cast Rose McGowan) came to the kingdom, there’s a bit of interesting history to Mommy Of The Year – and some jaw-dropping moments, including one that will for sure cause a reaction among fans.

4. A moment between at least one couple will reduce you to tears.

Snow and Charming? Neal and Bae? Regina and Cora? During the course of the hour, one couple has an extremely emotional exchange concerning their relationship. The scene left me tearing up, and it’s sure to do the same to you.

5. The Charmings are literally a kick-ass family.

For those who love seeing the Charming family in action, there’s a lot to be excited about in this episode. It’s a family affair as mother, father and daughter all team up for the ultimate showdown between Regina and Cora – and Emma might even do some magic. Want to know more? You’ll have to tune in to find out!

What are you most excited to see in “The Miller’s Daughter”? Sound off below!

Once Upon A Time airs Sunday at 8/9c on ABC.
