Translating the Marvel universe into a television show? It may seem like an easy venture on the surface, but what about when you’re doing it for a show that also happens to be one of the most anticipated pilots, even among people who haven’t seen it? If you’re mastermind Joss Whedon, you involve some trusty hands to make sure the project is guided correctly – in this case, your brother (Jed Whedon) and his wife (Maurissa Tancharoen.)
Whedon and Tancharoen are executive producers on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and at Comic Con, they sat down with reporters to talk about the challenges of bringing the S.H.I.E.L.D. world to life in a post-Avengers world and how they hope to guide the series as it evolves throughout its first season – and beyond. Watch the full interview below!
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 8pm on ABC.
